More than a retreat

A week that feels full—not rushed.

We’ll hike through red rock and canyon country, move and restore together, share beautiful meals, look into a true dark sky, and leave room for the kind of wandering that makes a trip feel like your own.

This retreat is hosted by Jillian Romano and Christiane Umphrey. We can’t wait to share this adventure with you.

Good to know

Questions before you say yes?

Which airport should I use?

Please fly into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport if you would like included pickup and drop-off. We will coordinate Flagstaff airport transfers during the designated arrival and departure windows. If you choose to fly into Phoenix or another airport, we will provide the retreat-house address and you will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from the house.

Do I have to complete every hike?

No. We will name shorter turnaround options and support wise choices. The itinerary does include active days, elevation and uneven trails, so preparation matters.

What meals do I purchase?

Only two lunches: Friday in Sedona and Saturday in Flagstaff. All other listed meals are included.

What will the weather be like?

Late April can bring warm sun, cold mornings and rapidly changing conditions. Layers, sun protection and sturdy footwear are essential.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. Many Awesome Adventures travelers arrive solo and leave with a new community. Room options make it easy to choose your comfort level.

What is the cancellation policy?

A full refund is available through February 1, 2027. From February 2 through March 23, 2027, any refund will be partial and based on the nonrecoverable deposits and expenses already paid for your reservation. After March 23, 2027, no refunds are available. We recommend booking early because spaces are expected to fill quickly.
